Frederic Batier Max Riemelt Wraps Shooting on Political Thriller „30 Bullets“
Actor Max Riemelt has completed filming for his latest project, 30 Bullets. Shot on location in European hubs including Vienna and Berlin during March and April 2026, the political thriller is directed by Arash and Arman T. Riahi. Riemelt leads the cast alongside Leonie Benesch and Hadi Khanjanpour.
Based on true events, „30 Bullets“ follows a prosecutor, a journalist, and a terror survivor who align to pursue a legal case involving two governments. The narrative centers on the prosecutor (Max Riemelt), who is assigned to head the murder investigation following a terrorist attack in Berlin.
While the tragedy is initially treated as an internal conflict between rival political factions, the investigator uncovers indications of state-sponsored actions. As the investigation deepens, he faces evidence that elements within government and intelligence agencies are involved in a cover-up.
„30 Bullets“ is produced by btf Produktion in co-production with Golden Girls, ZDF/arte, ORF, and DCM. The international co-production received funding from the BKM, DFFF, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, FFF Bayern, ÖFI, MEDIA Funding, and the Filmfonds Wien. Distributing partner DCM is scheduled to release the thriller in movie theaters in Winter 2026/2027.
