Lea wants to be someone, but when a casting show producer asks „Who are you?“, she has no answer. As she searches for an identity, her life in the East German province begins to fracture. While her family’s traditional forest hotel faces economic ruin, her aunt’s museum is lavishly renovated with EU funds, fueling a bitter conflict between heritage and progress.

Amidst this „painful muddle,“ Lea’s family is falling apart: her parents have separated, and her grandparents are locked in a perpetual war of words. In the center of the storm stands her father, Matze, who desperately tries to hold the fragments of their lives together. It is the story of a young woman looking for herself while the only world she knows is losing its foundation.
