„Two to One“ (German: „Zwei zu eins“, director and screenplay: Natja Brunckhorst) will be released in cinemas in Germany on July 25, 2024. This was announced by X-Verleih.

Max Riemelt plays one of the leading roles alongside Sandra Hüller and Ronald Zehrfeld. The plot of the comedy: Halberstadt in the summer of 1990. Maren (Sandra Hüller), Robert (Max Riemelt) and Volker (Ronald Zehrfeld) have known and loved each other since childhood. Rather by chance, they find the GDR’s millions in an old mine shaft, which have been stored there to rot away. The three of them smuggle out rucksacks full of money. Together with their friends and neighbors, they develop an ingenious system to exchange the now worthless money for goods and cheat the onrushing Westerners and their capitalism. Because if you’re a bit clever now, this summer could not only be a great adventure, but also the final turning point in their lives.
